Lowers high fever, induces sweating and cools heat.
Indications
For high fever with chills without sweating, with irritability, insomnia, possibly confusion, headache, thirst, nosebleeds, coughing up blood and acute skin rash: cold lingering on the outside while there is heat inside. The book also mentions acute inflammation of the gallbladder, pancreas, appendix and pelvis.

Variations
