Indications
For inflammation in the mouth, toothache, gingivitis and periodontitis and inflammation of the glottis. The book also mentions diabetes.
Ingredients

| Zhi mu (anemarrhena) | 3–6 g |

Variations
- For dehydration and thirst: add schisandra.
- For greater yin deficiency: add shi hu and sha shen.
- For extreme heat and fire: add gardenia and goji root bark.
