Glossy privet (nu zhen zi)Privet fruit, Chinese raspberry and goji are traditionally used together for menstrual complaints, for fertility and for male vitality. Longan strengthens the heart and circulation and makes the soup sweet.
Ingredients
15 g Chinese raspberry (fu pen zi)- 15 g privet fruit (nu zhen zi)
15 g goji (gou qi zi)
15 g dried longan flesh (long yan rou)- 1.5 litres water
- 2 chicken wings
Step by step
- Rinse the herbs.
- Bring everything to the boil together.
- Simmer gently covered for 2 hours.
- Ladle into bowls or large cups.
Tips
- Can also be made without chicken, with just the four herbs in water. The longan makes extra sweetening unnecessary.
